There are 65 advertised places, subject to change. The six-month internship starts in December 2026/January 2027 and requires attendance at SSPL in Delhi, not remote work.

The following guidance is Jobsii's editorial advice, not additional selection criteria or a promise of admission. Use it to organise your application, identify questions for the institute or laboratory, and avoid preventable mistakes. The linked notification remains the authority for the opportunity.
Compare the exact wording on your enrolment record with the advertised qualifications. A similar sounding course title does not automatically establish equivalence. If your specialisation has a different name, ask your department how it relates to the listed discipline and seek clarification rather than presenting an assumption as confirmed eligibility.
Discuss your semester calendar with your academic coordinator. Map examinations, compulsory classes, project reviews and other commitments against the period you could genuinely be available. A placement is useful only if you can participate without creating unresolved academic conflicts. Obtain a clear understanding of how your college would record or recognise the work before making plans.
Begin with a checklist taken directly from the official document, rather than a forwarded social media message. Keep a working folder containing your form, academic records, institution letters and the copies you intend to send. Use consistent names and dates across documents, and resolve any mismatch before submission.
Read every field before filling the form. Use clear, legible entries and provide contact details that you actively monitor. Where information does not apply, follow the form's instructions rather than inventing an answer. Ask the relevant college office who is authorised to sign an institutional letter and how long that process normally takes.
Keep a complete copy of the final pack for your own records. Store identity documents privately and do not share them in public groups, comments or open cloud folders. If another person helps prepare the application, share only the documents necessary for that task.
Work backward from the closing date. Allow time for institutional signatures, printing, checking the envelope and transport. Before choosing a postal service, ask about the expected delivery time to the destination and any service limitations. An estimate is not a guarantee, so avoid relying on the fastest possible outcome.
Retain the dispatch receipt and tracking information where available. Keep these separate from any application acknowledgement: evidence that an envelope was delivered does not establish eligibility or selection. If a delivery problem occurs, use contact information obtained from an official source when asking what options remain. Do not assume an unofficial email address or online form is an accepted substitute.
Prepare a simple personal budget before committing to an outstation placement. Consider accommodation deposits, regular meals, local transport and essential personal expenses. List the money you would need before the first payment and the amount you can manage without relying on an expected transfer arriving early.
Compare realistic accommodation options rather than choosing a place from an attractive photograph alone. Check the commute, cancellation terms and whether the arrangement suits the length of your stay. Avoid making a non-refundable booking simply because you have applied. A written selection communication and confirmed joining instructions are better grounds for practical arrangements.
Choose a laboratory exercise, course project or dissertation component that you understand well. Practise explaining its objective, your contribution, the method you used and a limitation of the result. A modest example that you can discuss accurately is more useful than an elaborate claim you cannot support.
If you worked in a team, distinguish your responsibilities from the overall output. Explain how you recorded observations, handled an unexpected result or decided what to investigate next. Review the fundamentals connected with your own work instead of trying to memorise every topic at once. These are general preparation suggestions, not a prediction of questions from the selection panel.
Ask for the confirmed joining date, reporting instructions, supervisor contact and any documents needed for verification. Clarify the normal working schedule and how academic reviews should be coordinated with your institution. Where an offer or instruction is unclear, request an explanation before making commitments on the strength of your own interpretation.
Discuss what evidence of work you may retain for your academic assessment or portfolio. Never assume that access to a workplace permits photographing equipment, sharing internal documents or publishing project details. Agree on an appropriate way to describe your learning without exposing information that is not yours to disclose.
Check the latest official notice, confirm your course and academic stage, and compare the completed pack against its instructions. Ensure that signatures, attachments and contact details are complete. Use the official application route and keep a record of what you submitted.
