Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Jobsii(“Jobsii”, “we”) collects and uses your personal data when you use jobsii.in. We are the Data Fiduciaryfor this data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By creating an account, you consent to the practices below.

Who this applies to

Jobsii is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; registration requires a date of birth and is refused for under-18s.

What we collect

All users: name, email address, date of birth, password (stored only as a secure hash), and — if you provide it — phone number and location.

• Candidates: your professional profile (current/preferred role, skills, education, experience, availability, profile summary), your résumé and any files you upload, skill-test results, and your activity (jobs saved, applications submitted).
• Recruiters: your company details (name, industry, website, location, description) and hiring activity.

Automatically: we log technical data for security and fraud prevention — IP address, browser/device (user-agent), and access times.

We collect this data directly from you, or from Google/LinkedIn if you choose to sign in with them.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent, for these purposes:

• To create and run your account and provide the job-portal service.
• Candidates: to show your profile to recruiters so they can consider you for roles, and to send job matches/alerts you opt into (email/WhatsApp/push).
• Recruiters: to let you post roles, review candidates, and (where you purchase it) reveal candidate contact details.
• To process payments (recruiter plans and credits).
• To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We use your data only for the purposes above.

Who we share it with

• Recruiters on the platform — candidate profiles are visible to recruiters by design; contact details are shared only when a recruiter uses a paid contact reveal, or when you apply to their role. You can hide your profile from the directory in your settings.
• Service providers (Data Processors) who act on our instructions: Razorpay (payments), our email provider (account and alert emails), and our cloud hosting/backup provider (secure storage). They may process data outside your state but under contractual safeguards.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep you signed in and secure the site and are always on. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them in our cookie banner — you can change or withdraw that choice at any time there, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser.

To help keep Jobsii free, we show third-party advertising. Where ads are shown, Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the Google advertising/DoubleClick cookie) to serve and measure ads on Jobsii based on your prior visits to Jobsii and other websites. Google and its advertising partners may use this information to show you more relevant ads. We do not share your name, email, résumé, or other account details with advertisers.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings and manage other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu. For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If your account stays inactive for 12 months, we email a warning and then delete the account and its personal data. If you delete your account or withdraw consent, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or security reasons. Security logs are retained for up to 90 days.

How we protect it

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, two-factor authentication for staff, strict access controls, an internal audit log, and regular off-site backups.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data (much of this you can do in your profile).
• Erase your data / delete your account (candidates can do this from Account → Security → Delete account).
• Withdraw consentat any time (this won’t affect processing already done).
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
• Grieve — raise a complaint with us (below).
