Gnani AI is accepting entries for the Great Indian AI Internship Challenge, a project competition that can lead to a paid six-month internship. The programme advertises up to 100 internships and an individual stipend ceiling of INR 1,00,000 per month. These are conditional opportunities: registering, submitting a project or reaching an interview does not guarantee an internship or the maximum stipend.
Jobsii reviewed the official programme page and registration terms on 29 October 2026. The published submission deadline is 10 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. IST. The registration form was accessible during this check; no application was submitted.
Applicants must currently be enrolled in a degree or course at a college or university in India and be at least 18 on their registration date. You can participate alone or with one teammate who independently meets the same conditions. Teams larger than two are excluded.
The programme does not publish a minimum percentage, a mandatory engineering branch, a particular graduation batch or a required number of years of employment. Those omissions do not remove the need to build a working application and explain your contribution. Someone who has already graduated and is no longer enrolled should not assume eligibility merely because they can code.
There is no fixed problem statement. Your entry must be a working application using at least one Gnani AI model or API to address a practical need for enterprises, developers or creators. The project explanation must identify the problem, intended users, technology used and each team member's contribution.
The programme names Prisma for speech recognition, Timbre for speech generation and Evon for reasoning. Its FAQ distinguishes the API platform from the separate agent builder, which falls outside this challenge. It also says Evon weights require access through Hugging Face and self-hosting rather than assuming the model is available in the programme's API dashboard.
A working public demonstration is required. Post the video on LinkedIn, X or both, explain the application, identify the Gnani AI technology, tag the official account and include #GnaniAI and #GreatIndianAIInternshipChallenge. Submit the nominated post links through the programme's submission process. A tagged social post by itself is not a completed entry.
The published process begins with verification of engagement on nominated posts, followed by eligibility checks. Eligible projects with the strongest verified engagement are shortlisted for interviews. The employer counts reactions, comments and reshares recorded by the closing cutoff. This makes audience engagement a material selection condition, rather than an optional promotional activity.
Shortlisting happens at project level, but interviews and offers are individual. Two teammates can receive different outcomes: one may obtain an offer while the other does not. Assessed skills, interview performance and suitability for available roles determine offers and stipend amounts. Only a written offer confirms an internship.
Bought engagement, bots, paid promotion, engagement exchanges, plagiarism and misleading demonstrations are prohibited. Invalid interactions can be excluded, and substantiated breaches can result in disqualification. The terms allow Gnani AI to modify, suspend or cancel programme elements, including timelines and prizes.
Selected interns may receive up to INR 1 lakh monthly, with the actual amount stated in their individual written offers. The stipend is not a team payment to divide between two people. No minimum stipend or universal amount is published, and the advertised ceiling should not be treated as expected take-home pay.
The advertised internship lasts six months, with a scheduled start of 1 January 2027. The registration terms say the start date and work arrangement will be confirmed in each offer. A city, remote-work entitlement, daily schedule, travel reimbursement and accommodation benefit are not specified for all participants. Confirm those details before accepting an offer or arranging relocation.
High-performing interns may be considered for full-time work, subject to performance, suitable vacancies and business requirements. Conversion requires a separate written offer and is not guaranteed.
The challenge also advertises ten awards of INR 50,000 each. Categories cover Indian languages, code-mixed speech, practical impact, noisy audio, solo and two-person projects, creativity, Tier 2 or Tier 3 participation, a short demo and public voting.
Awards follow their category criteria independently of internship selection. A person or team can win a maximum of one award. An award is not a monthly stipend, and winning one does not establish an internship offer. Likewise, internship shortlisting does not promise an award.
Open the official registration page linked below and read its participation terms. The visible form requests your name, phone, primary email, education stream, college and how you heard about the competition, with a teammate email field for pairs. Use accurate details and ensure each teammate understands the terms independently.
The programme provides 5,000 API credits per registration; for a pair, the credits and contest communication go to the primary registrant. Access instructions arrive by email. These are usage credits, not cash. The public FAQ directs participants to the terms and usage dashboard for what credits cover, so check any additional usage conditions before increasing consumption.
Build the application, publish the working demo and complete the final submission with the video, written explanation, models or APIs used and one nominated post per platform. The FAQ says submission instructions arrive by email and there is no participant dashboard, while the terms still mention a workspace. Follow current emailed instructions and seek clarification through the official support channel if they conflict. Each person or team may submit one entry. Project details can be edited until final submission.
Before registering, choose a problem you can demonstrate reliably within the remaining time. A focused application with a clear user journey is easier to explain than several unfinished features. Keep a short contribution log for each teammate so individual interviews reflect who built and tested each component.
Use synthetic sample data for the demo. The employer specifically warns against including real phone numbers, account numbers, Aadhaar, PAN or recorded calls. Review the video for exposed API keys and personal information before publishing. This preparation advice does not add eligibility requirements or promise selection.
Review the role details, deadline, and work mode before applying. Jobsii tracks the apply action so candidates can keep application history inside their dashboard.
