National Institute of Technology Agartala is inviting applications for Office Intern engagements at its Jirania campus in Tripura. The official advertisement lists two tentative posts, monthly remuneration of INR 25,000 and an email application deadline of 10 November 2026. Jobsii checked the institute's recruitment board and all four pages of the linked notice on 2 November 2026.
This is a contract internship with an initial one-year term. Applicants should assess the degree, computer proficiency and age requirements before preparing the prescribed application. The notice includes important limits on renewal, interview expenses and continuation that matter when comparing this opportunity with other offers.
The essential qualification is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute. Candidates also need proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, spreadsheets and Tally. The notice does not prescribe a particular graduation batch, minimum percentage or compulsory computer certificate. A degree alone does not replace the stated software proficiency.
The advertised age limit is up to 30 years as on 30 September 2026. Use that reference date for eligibility. The attached general application form separately asks for age on the last application date; enter that information accurately too, rather than silently treating the two dates as interchangeable. Any eligibility relaxation remains the competent authority's decision, not an automatic entitlement.
The experience section is labelled desired. It concerns establishment or administration work in an Institute of National Importance, IIT, NIT, central or state university, or another government organization. Relevant activities include government correspondence, office administration and preparing data or reports for government authorities. No mandatory number of experience years is specified.
The general conditions explain that qualifying experience means relevant work after obtaining the minimum educational qualification, from government, semi-government, PSU, autonomous, research or reputed organizations. Attach employer experience certificates when claiming such work. Do not relabel unrelated employment as institutional administration or count every college activity as qualifying professional experience.
The stated posting is NIT Agartala, Jirania, Agartala. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not advertised. Daily working hours, joining date, accommodation and a detailed benefits package are not disclosed in this notice. Applicants relocating to Tripura should clarify those practical points before accepting an offer.
Remuneration is INR 25,000 per month. Travel and daily allowances for official tours or visits, if any, follow institute rules. A different condition applies to selection: no TA/DA is payable for attending the interview. Do not assume that the official-tour allowance covers interview travel or that accommodation is included in monthly pay.
The initial internship lasts one year. Up to two further terms may be considered, depending on institutional requirements and satisfactory performance, with the original term and renewals together limited to three years. Three years is therefore a ceiling, not a guaranteed appointment duration.
The engagement is contractual and carries no right to continuation or confirmation at NIT Agartala. The institute may discontinue it under the stated service and institutional-interest conditions. Someone choosing to leave during the contract must give one month's notice or pay in lieu. Read these provisions before making relocation or longer-term financial commitments.
The advertised number is two posts, but the institute may increase or decrease that number according to its requirements. It may shortlist eligible applicants and invite them for interview, interaction or presentation. The notice does not give an interview date, scoring formula, written examination syllabus or guaranteed shortlist size.
The institute's selection decision is final. It also reserves the right to reject applications or the engagement process. Canvassing or outside influence can cause rejection. Meeting minimum eligibility permits consideration; it does not guarantee an interview or appointment.
Open the official advertisement and application form linked below. Complete the prescribed format and submit it to the Registrar, NIT Agartala, by email at establishment@nita.ac.in on or before 10 November 2026. This is an employer email application; completing a Jobsii profile does not submit it.
The notice asks for one set of self-attested copies of all certificates and two recent passport-size self-attested photographs with the application. Bring the application and original documents for verification on the interview date if invited. It does not specify an email attachment size, compulsory subject line or a separate postal submission requirement. Ensure emailed documents are legible and follow any later official clarification.
No closing hour or timezone is printed. Avoid relying on an assumed midnight cutoff. Jobsii has not sent an application email or tested mailbox delivery. Applicants should check the institute's recruitment page for updates before submitting.
The form requests the post applied for, the candidate's name in block letters, father's or guardian's name, gender, category, permanent and correspondence addresses, phone, email, date of birth and age. Its education table begins with Secondary Class X and asks for qualification, board or university, passing year, marks, division and subjects.
An experience table records organization, service dates, post, pay scale and duties, with supporting documents. The final page asks for the names and addresses of two references who know the applicant's personal and professional qualities. Complete the declaration, date, place and signature. A CV may help organize information, but it does not replace the prescribed form.
The following suggestions are Jobsii editorial advice, not additional NIT eligibility rules or an announced assessment. Prepare a small practice spreadsheet using invented records: document number, received date, department, action owner, due date and status. Check for duplicate identifiers and missing dates, then make a concise summary of pending items. Keep the underlying records consistent with the totals.
For Word, practise a clear official letter with a subject, reference, concise request and properly named enclosure. For Tally, describe only functions you can actually use. In an application or discussion, explain what you personally handled, how you checked accuracy and where supervision was required. Use fictional examples for practice; never share confidential records from a former employer.
